Hi, I'm Melody! I've been a product designer in the Bay Area for over 3 years. With a background in psychology, computer science, and human-computer interaction, I see myself a multidisciplinary UX designer with a growth mindset, passionate about solving complex problems and challenges.
To me, product design is versatile and not limited to a specific linear process. Instead, it's a strategy that can be optimized depending on the problem we're solving, its context, scope, and the available resources. I have experience in both consumer-facing and B2B products in the SaaS domain, ranging from mid-scale to start-ups. In my design journey, I particularly enjoy tackling design challenges from diverse angles, while always keeping the end-users in mind. I also like to brainstorm practical solutions that blend aesthetics and business value while balancing technical trade-offs.
Apart from design, I have the cutest Dachshund in the world (if he agrees, I'll post a photo of him later on my portfolio). My personal interests include weight training, playing tennis and golf, trying out new boba teas, and visiting new places. :)
As a multidisciplinary product designer in tech, I excel in creating high-quality UX/UI designs by integrating business value, research-based evidence, and technical constraints into my work.
I have design experience spanning both mobile (iOS and Android) and web platforms. I consistently excel at producing pixel-perfect designs, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and a seamless user experience.
I produce beautiful visual designs that align with the current design system. Whenever I develop new UI components, I ensure their seamless integration into the design system by adhering to established guidelines.
While I prioritize aesthetics in my designs, I also support my design decisions with research.
My research methods are highly adaptable depending on resources available.
